ENCHANTING CHRISTMAS LACE: PATTERNS FOR A FESTIVE SEASON
"Christmas is a time when, for a moment, we forget our troubles and imagine ourselves as that child who, many years ago,
decorated the Christmas tree. At the sound of the same bell, we used to hang on the tree in our youth, we remember the feeling of pure joy and happiness.
We should allow it to overwhelm us at least for a moment and remind us of what is truly important in life."
With that thought in mind I have drawn some simpler bobbin lace patterns with a New Year's motif, which are meant to bring you joy and light in the darker winter days.
THE CHRISTMAS TREE
For the bobbin lace Christmas tree, I used 5 pairs of Idrija 30 bobbin lace cotton thread.
If you don't want to make tallies, you can instead create a flower from braids or use beads etc. Use your imagination.

Those who want to make more motifs besides the Christmas tree, I have gathered 6 unique patterns of bells, candles, a shooting star and a gift in 20 variations, which will bring a festive atmosphere to your home. These motifs are perfect for decorating your Christmas tree, but you can also create beautiful greeting cards throughout the year or use them elsewhere.
For instance, candles can represent a symbol of hope during the dark months, while the shooting star can be an inspiring guide to our dreams.
The gift with a bow is the perfect motif for birthday cards, and the bell with a bow can remind us of the love and joy we share with our loved ones.
You can purchase the patterns in one of two versions: as a downloadable PDF with patterns or as a book.
